Most of Lo-Pro's band members were
already rock veterans at the time of the creation of the band; Pete Murray and Neil Godfrey had been in Ultraspank, Tommy Stewart was Godsmack's original drummer, and Jonathan Fahnestock had played in both Amen and Snot. Lo-Pro was the first signing of Aaron Lewis' 413 Records, his vanity imprint through Geffen. By the summer of 2003, Lo-Pro was in the studio with producer Don Gilmore, also producer for Pearl Jam and Linkin Park. A few months later, their eponymous album was released
After the band was finished touring in support
of the album, they were dropped by 413 records. Nothing much was heard from the group until late 2005, when the track "Ingenious"
was released on their MySpace.
Also, drummer Tommy Stewart recently joined Fuel as their fulltime drummer.
The band recently started up another MySpace page which features acoustic songs. The remaining
members Pete Murray, Neil Godfrey, and Pete Ricci are now Lo-Pro acoustic and have been special guests during Aaron Lewis'
solo acoustic tour.
Recently Lo-Pro joined Aaron Lewis for a five-night solo acoustic run at the
Mohegan Sun Cabaret in Uncasville, Connecticut on February 20-24. During these five nights their performances were filmed
for their first ever acoustic DVD, which is due out sometime this summer.
