Aaron Lewis of Staind and Music Video Director / Photographer Fran Strine To Kickstart "Shame on America" Documentary
Every day men and women put their lives on the line for our freedom overseas.
However, they deserve a lot more respect, attention, and love than they are receiving. Horrifically, more than 20,000 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans have been homeless at some point in the past five years, and one in every five veterans has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). These veterans need to be recognized for their selfless defense of the United States, and they need to be supported.
Like true patriots, Staind singer Aaron Lewis is co-producing the documentary Shame on America with music video director and photographer Fran Strine—the director and producer of the film. It's a riveting documentary putting a spotlight on these veterans and bringing these issues to the light that all of the mainstream media should be shining on them. Lewis and Strine are pushing the enveloped, doing things independently, and creating this piece for an amazing cause. These returning soldiers are the backbone of this country.
Today Strine and Lewis launched a Kickstarter campaign for the project. Visit it here to pledge to the project here and get truly phenomenal opportunities in return including everything from signed pictures to an executive producer credit in IMDB on the film.
ARTISTdirect.com is getting behind this 200 percent and there will be more in the future, but please watch the video below.

GODSMACK's Shannon Larkin proclaims, "Nothing makes us feel more at home than playing the best festival in the U.S. with the baddest-ass line-up of the year! You better hold on to your hats America, 'cause this fall we're coming at you hard 'n loud with the power hour Smackdown!"
The touring music and lifestyle festival continues to grow. Despite encountering hurricanes, floods and other inclement weather in 2011, the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival packed houses, with over 324,800 in total attendance. Uproar expands in 2012 by adding a third stage and more bands to the lineup.
Live Nation is the national tour promoter for the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival.
"We're really excited about this year's awesome lineup," say tour producers John Oakes and John Reese. "It's incredible to have so many of the biggest bands in rock together with some newer bands that are blowing up. By adding a second stage to the festival area and including even more great talent, we're stepping things up a notch for the Uproar fans."
The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival will entertain fans for a full afternoon and evening, with performances from the hottest rock bands, along with a concourse midway featuring band autograph signings, vendors and other activities. The festival is produced by John Reese, John Oakes and CAA in conjunction with Live Nation.
Look for tour dates, cities and venues to be announced in the coming weeks.

ADDICTEDtoStAiND started out as a one page tribute on AOL hometown back in early 2003. As my addiction grew bigger and stronger, I outgrew that one page tribute and decided to make a real Staind fansite. I bought the domain name in March of 2005 and started to build the fansite which was launched in April of 2005. Little did I know what was going to happen to me just by having a Staind fansite. I have met so many great people through the years that I love dearly. My addiction grew more and more with each concert I attended. Staind is not just a band they are part of my life now and the fans aren't just fans they are my family. In early 2007 I started looking for a new host to make ADDICTEDtoStaind even bigger. I found a new home where ADDICTEDtoStAiND started moving to in March 2007 and was launched on April 6th 2007. On April 12, 2012 I called Web.com to bring my site back since I let it go down for three months, they informed me with regret all my data was deleted. I had a choice to walk away forever or re-build, as you can see I choose to rebuild. This site is not just a Staind fansite it is a major source of information for the fans. I do all the work on this site I have no team and no help so I am very proud of all my hard work. I would like to thank the many fans that have wrote me encouraging letters, those letters are what makes me thrive to keep this site updated.
